Biography

LUCI A is a musician based in Markham with the voice of RAYE and the playfulness of David Bowie. As an artist, she blends energetic lyrics with intense yearning. LUCI A doesn’t make music. She reflects emotions on a silver platter, lavishly decorated for your enjoyment. Her one goal as an artist is to make unique music, something that breaks expectations and stays relevant for years to come.

As a vocalist, pianist, and tenor saxophone player, LUCI A’s music reflects her love for pop, rock, and jazz genres. Having performed everywhere from the Biltmore Theatre to Bill Hogarth Secondary School’s jazz showcase, she uses her diverse experiences to create memorable shows that leave the crowd lighter than they were before.

Alongside her rock band, Kaleidoscope, LUCI A has been featured on both Issue 5 and 6 of the Our Diary Magazine. She has had the opportunity to play at The Long & McQuade Grand Opening and the Cork & Bean in Oshawa, and even volunteered to perform at the Michael Garron hospital on behalf of Students For Music and Wellness, a youth-led NPO caring for vulnerable populations through music.

In the summer of 2026, LUCI A was accepted into the Canadian Musicians Cooperative as a Pre-Professional Artist. Through this intensive program, LUCI A engages in interdisciplinary music business and performance training as well as performing regularly throughout her community at events like the Langstaff Farmer’s Market, Roll Me Up Markham, and the Varley Art Gallery. 

With her genre-bending sound and dedication to her craft, LUCI A is definitely an artist to watch out for!
